Single Best Guide on Antigua
If I could travel with only one guidebook on Antigua and Barbuda, this would be the one.The author covers activities from the frivolous to the serious; from nightlife, Carnival, and Sailing Week to environmental awareness, and the local humane society.In addition to the breath of topics covered, the author has done an outstanding job in capturing the flavor of the island in photography, commendable consideration given to the inclusion of many locals in context and throughout the contents.Read more

A "must have" guidebook for Leeward Islands
I wish I had met this book before I went to St. Kitts & Nevis for the first time.It tells you everything about them and you can count on it.Very easy to find out what to do, where to go, stay and eat.Very organized and easy to read.Many pictures in this book.

Great book even for returning visitors
I have been traveling to Anguilla for several years but just found some new discoveries in this guidebook.

Great guide to numerous islands
I just returned from a trip to St. Kitts and Nevis and found this book very useful, from the time I was selecting a hotel until I was on the island and looking for a place to eat. Through this guide, I learned about many out of the way spots that were overlooked by other guides. Buy Frommers or Fodors instead
I was very disappointed with this guide book.I've bought a lot of guidebooks and have never seen one as general as this one.The information contained in Fodors or Frommers big Carribean books give better coverage to St. Kitts which is what I was interested in learning about.

Search the web instead
I read the review that said this book was worthless and chose to ignore it - mistake!You can definitely find all of this information, plus a whole lot more, via the few websites and message boards about Anguilla.Buy a book to read on your trip instead!

Surprised by it's size
I examined numerous Antigua / Barbuda books in various stores and found this to be the best.It's physical size is tiny at 4" x 5.5" but it contained better information than any of the other books I saw.If you are looking for a book exclusively about Antigua and barbuda I would recommend buying this book.It will prove most useful if you review it before you start planning your vacation.

Bumping round Antigua!
10/10/02 Flew inverness-gatwick-antigua by BA and spent 10 days following the Rough Guide. As this isle has few road signs to speak of the Guide kept us on track and to places we would never have found or been aware of.The gorgeous secluded bay 400m back from Devil"s Bridge was indeed perfect and empty! Eating and drnking could also be relided upon ,Turner"s on Jonson"s point haveing a great view of Montserrat volcano(take bonocs),as well as ex food and svc. Having the guide made this holiday one i will remember, simple as that! Bon voyage.

Antigua guide...
My fiancee and I are going to Antigua for our honeymoon.We are staying at an all-inclusive resort, but want to take a day to tour the island.This book was very informative on popular attractions, places to visit, transportation and prices.I was only dissapointed with the fact that there weren't that many photos of the island...but the few that were in there were very pretty!Definitly worth buying if you want a quick, informative overview of the island! ... The ultimate dive guide
I'd definitely give this guide full marks. It's without doubt the most comprehensive of the guides I looked at for the area I was travelling to(the Virgin Islands). It had everything we could have wanted to know andit definitely meant we did some better diving than we'd have done withoutit. We particularly liked that it gave us information about the British andUS Virgin Islands and as they are less than 5 miles apart it's simple todive both areas. They have some really different types of diving and we'dhave missed out on a lot without the guide. We bought the book before wewent but we took it along with us and used it all the time. One of thethings we enjoyed reading was the descriptions of the dives andthe sectionsabout the marine life. We've been diving for over 10 years and I've learntmore from this book than I have in my previous years of diving.

A must for the crusing yachts bookshelf.
The Complete Diving Guide (2) is a must for anyone diving the Netherlands Antilles. I used it while cruising in the area on my yacht in St. Maarten and dived in Saba, Statia and Anguilla on the strength of the informationin the guide book. It tells you where the best dives are and how to divethem. The maps show you where the dives are and there is a lot of generalbackground about what the diving will be like. Low picture quality
It's been 4 hours, since I returned from Iceland, and one of my first things to do was to cancel my pending order of this book. Out in Iceland, I could have a look at what's inside, and quite a few of the pictures were disappointing. From someone with a limited amount of time (say, one week) and budget category equipment, this would be a nice book, but not from a professional photographer. Contrast is low in many of the pictures, and some of them were not taken at the right time of day (or right weather conditions).
